Each test is designed to provide accurate, actionable insights to help you and your healthcare provider make informed decisions about your health.
STD Screening Test Panel
Sample type:
Blood and Urine or Vaginal swab (patient-collected)
Preparation:
Urine: You do not need to do anything special to prepare for the test sample.
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are common infections that spread from person to person during sexual activity and skin-to-skin contact. People with STDs may not have any signs or symptoms, but could be infected and may pass the infection to others. If you’re sexually active and have unprotected sex, it’s important to screen for STIs/STDs, so you can stay informed about your sexual health. This panel screens for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, trichomoniasis, syphilis, HIV-1, and HIV-2.
HIV 1 & 2 Test with Confirmation
Sample type: Blood
Preparation:
Urine: You do not need to do anything special to prepare for the test sample collection
Cholesterol (Lipid) Panel
Sample type: Blood
Preparation: Fasting (not eating or drinking anything except water) for 8-12 hours is recommended.
This lipid panel (or lipid profile) blood test measures your cholesterol and triglycerides levels to assess your risk for cardiovascular diseases. The lipid profile test works by measuring total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, cholesterol/HDL ratio, and non-HDL. Regular lipid panel testing plays a key role in maintaining both general and cardiovascular health. If the results show you have higher than normal levels of cholesterol, you and your healthcare provider can work together to determine next steps.
Hemoglobin A1c
Sample type: Blood
Preparation: You do not need to do anything special to prepare for the sample collection.
Measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. This blood test helps determine whether you’re at risk for prediabetes or diabetes. If you have diabetes, HbA1c testing can help you and your healthcare provider know how well you’re managing your blood sugar levels over time. An elevated HbA1c level means that your blood sugar levels have been high over the past 3 months. The HbA1c Test reports the percentage of hemoglobin in your blood that is coated with sugar. A higher percentage of HbA1c indicates higher blood sugar levels.
Complete Blood Count (CBC) Test
Sample type: Blood
Preparation: You do not need to do anything special to prepare for the sample collection.
The CBC measures multiple components of your blood to help identify bleeding disorders or infections and abnormal levels of specific blood components. For instance, a CBC measures the level of red blood cells, which transport oxygen to body cells and tissues. A low level of RBCs can be a sign of anemia. High levels of abnormal white blood cells that crowd out red blood cells and platelets can be a sign of leukemia. This test measures various components and abnormalities of your blood, including: RBC count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) and red cell distribution width (RDW), WBC count, WBC Differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils), platelet count, and mean platelet volume (MPV).
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) Test
Sample type: Blood
Preparation: Overnight fasting is required for this panel (10-12 hours without food)
The comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) helps assess overall health, detect early signs of disease, and monitor chronic conditions. It measures 14 components: blood sugar (glucose), calcium, total protein, liver enzymes, bilirubin, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, albumin, carbon dioxide, and key electrolytes. Abnormal CMP test results may indicate various health conditions, such as developing or active liver or kidney disease, hypertension, or diabetes.
